Victoria Murphy is a licensed Realtor®, with a strong background in sales and marketing. Her family has been in Santa Fe since 1598. Victoria's grandparents built and named many streets on Santa Fe's eastside - Sosaya Lane, San Antonio, San Pasqual, and Sosaya Street. Her mother, Monica Sosaya Halford, is a local artist and her father, Richard Halford, was a local architect who has designed many of Santa Fe's buildings. Years ago her father tried to encourage her to get her real estate license so she could join him in his Real Estate company La Mancha Realty, “I liked to tease him that now that I’ve grown up I was finally listening to my daddy”. Victoria has been actively involved with the Santa Fe business community for over 30 years beginning her career as couture buyer for a many local boutiques and designing clothing lines for them. Eventually she began opening stores for companies throughout the United States. Victoria buying excursions allowed her to travel not only in the United States but throughout Europe and Mexico as well. Victoria decided to pursue a career in real estate and in her words, “I am home.” Guiding philosophy: “My personal philosophy has always been to listen. By actively listening, you can gauge who, what and where your customer is coming from. That sets the direction and gives you a path to follow.” On a personal note, Victoria is committed to community service. “My mother raised my brothers and sisters and I with the understanding that you must always give back to the community. Victoria’s educational background is in Fashion Design & Merchandising, and Business Administration. Victoria holds her ABR (Accredited Buyers Designation), and hopes to soon have her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. She is also a member of NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals). Family: Married to Dennis Murphy a local attorney since 1979, three grown children Ben 28 (Manhattan), Carl 25 (Denver), Kate 23 (Santa Fe).
